Road to the Arnold Classic

Well, here it is!  Less than 2 weeks away from being on the largest stage in my LIFE!  I am beyond excited and cannot wait to go and take in all The Arnold Classic has to offer.  I will be living in a dream.  Just being there is going to be one of the greatest experiences…not to mention meeting all my fitness idols (Jamie Eason, Monica Brant, Nicole Wilkes-Lee, Kim Dolan and many many more).  I have been working so hard on my physique for the competition part of the weekend that I haven’t had a chance to sit down and really think about who all will be there. WOW!  This will be a fun-filled busy weekend I am sure.

I have been training since the first of January trying to get in the best shape possible for this event.  When I found out that I was able to compete in The Arnold Amateur Figure category, I was beyond excited!  Why not get on stage if I am going to be there.  So the training began to get harder and more intense.  Trying to build more muscle and get leaner than the last show I competed in meant training twice a day five days a week.  I have also been working my lower body extra hard to get it more in proportion, and firmer (we all have problem areas and mine happens to be my tush!).  Between all the eating clean, cardio, plyometrics and weight training I have now gotten to where I want to be.  I am super ready both mentally and physically to get on stage and show the judges what I am made of!

Just having competed for only one year and now competing at The Arnold is CRAZY!!  I know that I have already won because I am in the best shape I have ever been in.  It will be an AMAZING experience just being there.  Getting on stage and winning a trophy will just be an added bonus…but who doesn’t want a bonus???  I hope to make all my friends and family proud and to possibly meet some of you there.  If you are attending, message me.  I would love to meet you!

Welcome

I would just like to say welcome to my site!  I am very excited about getting this up and going and cannot wait to hear feedback from you guys.  This has been a dream of mine that I feel is actually becoming a reality.  I hope I can become a role model to many of you who may not feel as though you are in your best shape ever.  You can do it!!  I started all of this at 35 years old, I am living proof it can be done!  Over time I will be posting workouts, some of my favorite recipes and any tips that I feel may help you get one step closer.  If there is any questions you may have, feel free to ask as I will answer them.  I love working out and the way it makes me feel.  I hope to help each of you enjoy it as much as I do and see the results you want.

I compete in figure and fitness model competitions and will be posting updates on my journey to the stage.  Competing is not an easy thing to do physically as well as mentally, but I LOVE it!!  Training twice a day with my trainer is grueling at times but so worth it when you step onto the stage.  You get to show off all the hard work you have put your body through.  I have several competitions coming up for 2010 and feel like this is going to be a BIG year for me.  I just started competing last April and in November received my Pro Card.  I guess I can officially say I am addicted.

I am also a Fitness Model and hope to see this part of my career to continue to blossom.  I love being glamorous as well as being able to show off my physique.  I have worked with a few of what I consider to be the best photographers in the industry.  I hope to work with many more.  My dream ever since starting the new career was to be in Oxygen.  Well, in January I was featured in Oxygen’s “Future of Fitness”.  So, I am off to a great start and cannot wait to see where this year takes me!

I hope that you will come back often to check my site and blog out.  I will  be posting new photos and some of my tips each week.  Please let me know if there is something that you would like to see.  Thanks again for stopping by my site.
